Navodaya Passage 31
Navodaya Passage 31( 2015)
By Navodaya Guide
The director of the film had to face a great problem in shooting the scenes. The problem was that the place he had chosen was far from a city or village. As far as the eye could see, there was only sand, dotted with thorny bushes and dried grass. A railway track cut across the desert as though there was no beginning or an end. The shooting was in Jaisalmer and the crew had to bring the entire luggage to the chosen spot. The cameramen had to get into an open-topped jeep with the camera in order to catch the camels running towards the train. It was essential therefore to have a paved road nearby for the camels and the camera to be brought to the location of shooting. The next thing was getting a train. Suddenly the price of coal went up and the train they were to use was cancelled at a day's notice.
